Will be presenting this tomorrow. i think my brain almost exploded when i turned to this page and realized i would have to explain this maze in class tomorrow. it's not even color coded. I will be starting this "choose your own adventure" in regional integration theory from the bottom right corner, neo-neofunctionalism. currently, most rats start in the intergovenrmentalism corner, including the

it's my last night here at gran's place. it's been about three months and i'm not sure how i feel about leaving her now. most of me wants to stay bc i've just begun to get to know her...but a little of me is ready to get the heck outta here for a number of reasons; however i feel guilty for that.
I should post, huh?
Right now life is in fast forward (as it has been for the last six months), and every day I promise myself I’m gonna do a number of things including blooooog. But, inevitably, Seoul livin sucks every ounce of screamin’, kickin’ life outta my body; by the time I get home, I’m literally crawling in to bed tryin to get some sleep to regenerate enough energy to get me through the next day. The last three months have been especially hectic; however, I’m hoping after I move into the new apartment, closer to school and out of Gran’s house, things may settle down a bit. Every day is a succession of dozens of minor victories, as well as failures. But I think overall, I’m coming out ahead.
These days, the wonders of Seoul public transportation are a new focus of mine. One of my new hobbies is reading the sides of buses as they whiz by, as I’ve given up on figuring out the bus routes online. The new hobby helps in a number of ways, including the speed of my Hangul reading and comprehension! Once I board the bus, I play a game: which seat is least likely to get me killed if there were to be an accident. It’s not really a game, as I take this pretty seriously. Taking the bus is a dangerous undertaking in a number of ways. I’ve literally had to run and jump onto still-moving buses, as well as tuck and roll off at my stop. Bus drivers have NO mercy when it comes to the comfort and safely of the passengers. And the interior of the bus is not conducive to keeping citizens safe from harm if impact were to occur; it’s all metal, sharp edges and projectiles. I will post a pic to flickr tomorrow of the bus and show you what I mean. Perhaps some can help me choose the best seating option.
In order to shame myself into blooooooooouuuuging again, i shall set a date. I vow to post again on Friday, March 14.
I realized this when I thought about masking my own age and going clandestine as a centenarian. Then, I snooped around a few friends’ spaces and confirmed the 30th was, indeed, the day girls mooshed OLD in the face, right back to where it belongs: in secret!
I will continue to resist...my real age is there, everyday, in all its glory, shouting at each of the 20 or so passersby: Yes, I’m officially old!
**Although, empirical data suggests that in LA, 20 is ≈ East coast 30. So take that into account when you’re trying to decode the 100+ cohort.
Q: Why is Moka blogging again? Didn’t she post, like, yesterday or something?
A: As you may have guessed, I’m hiding over here in the livejournal, trying not to make eye contact with the blank word document blinking at me from the sidebar. I’m in the middle of a 24 hour final exam.
24 hours.
10 blank pages.
A battle to the finish with Confucius and the gang.
Anything goes. But NO biting, crying OR renouncing filial piety.
It’s midnight with 13 hours left on the clock.
I’m thinking about tappin’ out.
Perhaps I should stop posting and just let you guys read Nic and Erin’s blog for the time being, as all I seem to do with this space is plagiarize them. Above is <one of> the reasons I’ve not completed my final paper, due tomorrow. This video commands me to play it over and over again! It’s one of those things that repels and compels at the same time. For those of you who know me
Now, to finalize the paper…Habermas and the return to the public sphere…is it happening in Korea? And is the INTERNET facilitating it?
